Have avast running well, but it is not saying avast has been updated like it used to say. What can I do to be sure I hear the sounds Avast usually has? I did scan my computer and wonder if I got into a menu that could have stopped the sounds avast makes. Any help is appreciated.
Avast should say avast, virus data base has been updated. They came out with a new version that you should install from the website, it is called avast free antivirus. This replaces the old version of avast. If you can't hear the sounds check to make sure they are not muted in the system tray volume control area. If none of that works you can also try reinstalling the program.
